Personally, this is one of my favorite memes of all time. What makes it even better is that it is a sports meme, and I am obsessed with sports. Just to see the sheer confusion, disgust and anger in LeBron ‘s face at what JR Smith was doing just makes it hilarious. Especially as someone who watches this on TV as it was happening. I remember watching this and just being so upset because the game was on the line. JR got the clutch offensive rebound all he had to do was put up the layup. I was watching it with a couple friends, and everyone was making the same face. LeBron was trying to get him to turn the other way. I honestly believe this is where the Cavs lost the NBA finals. For some, next to this, it is game one of the NBA finals in 2018. The Cleveland Cavs are down one and George Hill is at the free-throw line. Hill makes the first one and then misses the second one. Then JR Smith gets the rebound and instead of putting it up for the win, he runs out the clock thinking they were up. This causes the game to go to overtime, where the Cavs would lose and then inevitably getting swept the entire series. LeBron is considerably upset, as you would imagine. All in all, JR Smith was apparently confused with what the score was and who was up, which I find hard to believe because yes, people make mistakes. But you are a pro basketball player who has made over $85 million in his career, so you would think he would know how to figure out what the score is. I personally think this moment is one of the key factors into why LeBron left the Cavs again. I also think this is why the Lakers never signed JR when they had the chance to this year.
